Television
(The effect it has on children)

Television has been around for approximately 75 years, according to Erin Monaghan. It has cause some negative impact on our young, youth of today. Children spend more time watching television than they spend on homework and family time. Too much TV time has cause children to be obesity, not able to make rational decisions in violent solutions and having sex at an such too early age.

Children minds are like sponges, they absorb everything they hear or see. Children spend too much time watching television than they spend on homework and their grades have dropped tremendously. Television shows have taken complete control of our children’s minds and their lives. They watch so much TV until they neglect doing their homework or playing with other kids. The average child spend at least 4 hours or more watching television shows than they spend in a class room. Television shows have taken on a new aspect of how children maintain in the world today. Children now a days have a hard time staying focus their behaviors are extremely unbearable. Television in my opinion has cause children to be disrespectful to their parents due to the shows they air on television. Cartoons shows now are teaching kids to cuss and smart mouth their parents. Parents should monitor what their children are watching on television and they should not allow children to watch TV at certain hours and limit their TV time.

Secondly, watching too much television has cause severe obesity in children. Children sit in front of the television eating all types of unhealthy foods and not being active. They lounge around on the couch all day long like a couch potatoes watching their favorite shows for hours not getting enough exercises.
